The number of refugee and other low-income immigrant families arriving in Toronto is accelerating.
Over 10% of all children living in Toronto, including the North Toronto area, are living in poverty.
For these groups, the player fees for North Toronto Soccer Club recreational and competitive programs are subsidized according to need.
North Toronto Sports Foundation fully funds the North Toronto All-Abilities Sports Program, working with children with intellectual and physical disabilities to develop physical literacy skills and teach skills in soccer and other sports. Specialized year-round programs, plus coaching support for special needs children entering mainstream soccer programs and camps.
Fully funding coaching support during regular indoor and outdoor phys-ed classes in Toronto District School Board and Toronto Catholic District School Board schools in priority and transitioning neighbourhoods.
Supporting the SWAN (Sports Wellness Achievement Network) after-school programs in the Lawrence Heights family of TDSB schools.

Share with friends and neighbours that although North Toronto is overall a relatively affluent neighbourhood, there are many families living below the poverty line and many newcomers to Canada who need support. There are also many families whose children have special needs that can benefit from the support of the the community as a whole.
